A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about using Citristrip for taking off old finishes. Click on the link below and scroll to the September 28 TIP OF THE WEEK – second one from the top: TIP OF THE WEEK: April 15, 2016 – October 7, 2016
I just ran across an idea that makes that an even easier process….using Saran Wrap. The idea is that the Saran Wrap holds in the heat and allows the process to work really well. It is recommended to let it it set up about 24 hours, but then the finish will just turn powdery. I haven’t tried it myself yet, but will soon. I just wanted to get this out there to those of you who use Citristrip and may want to try it out. Please leave a comment to let us know how it worked for you.
I found this idea on hometalk. I’m not sure if you have to sign up to use hometalk, but if so, I recommend that you do. It is a lot like Pinterest and has some great ideas.
